What personally identifiable information is collected through the Site?
At the Site, We ask only for a user name and Your e-mail address, which are required for You to submit Content.  Therefore, please understand that when You submit Content through the Site, You are not anonymous to Us.  We suggest that You do not include any personally identifiable information, such as Your real name, address, account number, or even Your e-mail address, in your Content.  If You choose to provide personally identifiable information in your Content, You are giving Citi permission to use and store it consistent with this Privacy Statement.

In addition, while You access and use the Site, Citi automatically receives and records information from Your computer and browser, including Your IP address, software and hardware attributes, the pages You request and visit, and cookie information (for more information on cookies, please refer to the section titled "What are cookies, and how are they used to collect information?"). You also give Citi permission to use and store such information consistent with this Privacy Statement.

This Site does not knowingly or intentionally solicit or collect personally identifiable information, or any other information, from children. No one under age 13 should submit any personally identifiable information to Us or the Site.

Can anything I submit within the Site, such as a question or comment, become publicly available?
Yes.  If You submit Content through any public area of the Site ("Public Area"), and Citi posts your Content, Your user name and Content will be visible and publicly available to all.  Citi is not responsible for the personally identifiable information You choose to submit through the Public Areas of the Site and we suggest You do not do so.  Citi will assume that every piece of information in any of Your submissions to the Site can be posted publicly on the Site web pages.  Furthermore, You should operate under the assumption that once You release information publicly through the Site, it will remain public, even if You later attempt to delete it.  It is for this reason that We ask You never to put Your name, account numbers or any other personally identifiable information anywhere in Your postings or questions or other Public Areas of the Site.

Furthermore, as previously noted, to the extent Citi ever posts Content to the Site in which You disclose any personally identifiable information about You or others or, if You disclose any such personally identifiable information within any Content that You submit to the Site, whether it is posted or not, You are making that information available to the general public and Citi is not responsible for keeping that information private.

What are cookies, and how are they used to collect information?
Generally, a cookie is a piece of information which a web server may place on Your computer when You visit a website.  Cookies are commonly used by websites to improve the user experience.  Some cookies last only through a single session, or visit.  Others may have an expiration date, or may remain on Your computer until You delete them.

Citi uses cookies for a number of purposes--for example, to maintain continuity during a user session, to gather data about the usage of the Site for research and other purposes, to store Your preferences for certain kinds of information, or to store a user name or identification number so that You do not have to provide this information every time You return to the Site. Your browser software may contain a feature intended to notify You of the cookie policies of the Web sites You visit. For example, the browser software contained in certain operating systems may contain a cookie-filtering device commonly known as P3P. General information about P3P can be found at www.w3.org/P3P. P3P is still evolving. Therefore, We are not responsible for problems You may experience using a P3P filter or discrepancies between the machine-coded privacy statements that are read by the P3P tool and Our human readable policies referenced here, including this privacy statement which is the information to which You should refer if You have questions about Your privacy regarding this Site.  You can decide if and how Your computer will accept a cookie by configuring Your preferences or options in Your browser.  However, if You choose to reject cookies, You may not be able to use certain parts of the Site.

We occasionally use other companies to set cookies on Our websites and gather cookie information for Us.  In some cases We will also use another company to operate web servers for Our sites.  We use the cookie information gathered by these companies in the same manner as stated above.  The companies We use may not use these cookies for their own purposes or share the information gathered with others, in accordance with the terms of the contracts they have signed with Us.

If an error occurs on Citi's systems while You are using the Site, Citi's servers may automatically collect and store information relating to that error, including Your browser information, information from Citi cookies, and other information that You may have inputted at the time the error occurred (for example, information You had written into any web forms).  Citi uses this information to investigate the error and help prevent future errors.

What about other websites?
From time to time, web pages on the Site may refer or link to other Citi companies, their affiliates or third-party websites or state the URL or domain name of such company's, affiliate's or third-party website. Other websites, including other Citi websites, may have different privacy policies than this one.  You should carefully review such privacy policies and statements to become familiar with those companies', affiliates' and third-parties' policies if you click through to them.  If you are a customer of one or more of the Citi companies, any privacy policy communicated to you in the context of Your customer relationship with that Citi Company will apply to your relationship with that Company as described in that notice.

Is the information collected about me secure?
The Site uses reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural measures to safeguard information against loss, theft, and unauthorized use, disclosure, or modification.  Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  As a result, while We strive to protect Your information, We cannot guarantee its security.

If We sell all or part of Our business, or make a sale or transfer of assets, or are otherwise involved in a merger or business transfer, We may transfer Your information to a third party as part of that transaction.

What happens when Citi changes this Privacy Statement for the Site?
From time to time, we may revise this Privacy Statement.  Changes may be made for any number of reasons, including to reflect industry initiatives, changes in the law, and changes to the scope of the Site, among other reasons.  We will inform You of changes by posting a notice on relevant areas of the Site.  Any revisions will be effective upon posting the new Privacy Statement. Therefore, it is important to check the effective date of the Privacy Statement posted at this location each time You visit the Site to ensure that You are familiar with the most updated policies and practices.  If You do not agree with any changes to the Privacy Statement, You must discontinue any use of the Site.  Any visit to the Site web pages or use of or participation in the Site by You after the new Privacy Statement is posted will indicate Your agreement to the new Statement.
